A Japanese spa in Prague: what to expect at YOMO

Prague has spas of every kind — beer spas, hotel wellness, private saunas, Thai massage. A Japanese spa in Prague is rarer. YOMO brings one specific ritual from Tokyo: yomogi steam, in a private room, done the way it is done in Japan. Here is what your first visit looks like.

Before you arrive

Book online and arrive about ten minutes early. There is nothing to bring — we provide the YOMO cape, towels and slippers. Please avoid a heavy meal right before your visit, and choose another day if you are pregnant, menstruating or feeling unwell.

The sixty minutes

• Welcome tea — a cup of warm yomogi tea while we prepare your room
• The cape — in your private room you change into the original YOMO cape
• Fifteen minutes of steam — you sit on the hinoki chair as the yomogi steam rises; we check the temperature midway
• Rest — time to sit back, drink some water and let the warmth settle

Is it private?

Yes. Every guest has their own room with a closed door. If you come as a couple or with a friend, the ritual for two lets you enjoy the room together, one after the other.

Why YOMO is different

YOMO was founded in Daikanyama, Tokyo, and the Prague salon is the only YOMO outside Japan. The yomogi is the same: 100% pure Japanese mugwort, edible-grade and pesticide-free. The chairs are hinoki cypress. The ritual is short, quiet and deliberately simple.
